Argentina filmfest curates 2 Iran short films

Santa Cruz International Film Festival in Argentina is to host two Iran short films.

Santa Cruz International Film Festival in Argentina has selected two Iran short films for the third edition of the event.

The Argentine event to be held June 19 -21 will showcase ‘Mr. A’ by Siamak Ahmadi and  Mashhoud Mohsenian’s ‘Mate’ in fiction short film and animation short film sections, respectively.

Siamak Ahmadi’s ‘Mr. A’ won special mention for the best animated movie at 2017 edition of the Festival Internacional de Cine On-Line de los 5 Continentes in Venezuela.

While there is no official plot summary for ‘Mr. A’, a brief synopsis for ‘Mate’ writes the film is about “a woman who realizes that an odd creature lives in his kitchen sink,”

Originally named Santa Cruz Festival De Cine Argentina (FECSC), the film fest has various sections for short films, including Fiction Short Film, Documentary Short Film, Animation Short Film and Social Short Film.

FECSC is projected as a cinematographic meeting that brings together films of all genres, both Argentine and international, without discrimination; Commercial films, independent films, community films, major production films as well as indie productions.
